Just looking at any of the menus, toolbars, unit cards and splash screens in RTW (and all its mods) in widescreen resolution makes my eyes bleed. In my books, stretching ANY graphical image, distorting it in the process, to fit another resolution is a huge software design no no, and CA have done this. It is as if CA were just too damn lazy to design the game to properly support widescreen resolution. All menus, toolbars/unit cards and splash screens are designed for use one 4:3 aspect ratio resoutions and are instead S-T-R-E-T-C-H-E-D and distorted (like in the examples shown above) to fit the screen if a widescreen resolution is selected.Īs far as I am concerned this is a terrible terrible design flaw.

In case it is not clear I will spell it out: RTW (and therefore probably ALL mods made for it) does not fully support widescreen mode. Are you actually trying to claim that you see no problem with the way any of the graphics are displayed in any of the screenshots above? (let alone the ones I posted on my own thread dealing with the same issue?) I think you need to take a closer look and pay more attention.īased on our post counts, both myself and astradeus can't claim to have been involved with RTW/mods nearly as much as others here and it is very surprising that those that have seem to not even be aware of what is obviously a very bad graphical design flaw in RTW. I must say I am very surprised by these comments.

It could be anything from the screens that you've seen are at a higher resolution.? There doesn't appear to be anything 'blurred' in the screenshot.
